Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Theatres offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced and friendly team in a new and modern Operating Theatre environment specialising in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

The world renowned Lancashire cardiac centre specialises in a variety of Cardiac and Thoracic surgical procedure. We are also renowned for our minimally invasive Cardiac and Thoracic services. Within the Cardiothoracic theatre department we have 4 state of the art operating theatres and a 20 bedded Critical care unit to cater for all our patients. We offer best available treatment and patient care within a well organised unit, with dedicated and caring staff. We treat all patients and staff with the same care and empathy we would our own families.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

The Trust is the regional Centre of Excellence for Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, leading on minimally invasive cardiac surgical procedures and is looking to expand its service.

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals preferably with experience in Anaesthetics and Recovery to join our dynamic team. The roles will include some on call duties and weekend working on a rotational basis.
