We are hiring for a Full Time Head of Department to lead our busy operating Theatres at our St Mary’s NHS Treatment Centre in Portsmouth. Care UK Treatment Centres are patient focused and work closely with local CCGs and NHS Trusts to reduce waiting times, by choosing to visit us NHS patients get back on their feet faster. All Care UK Treatment Centres are rated either Good or Outstanding by CQC.

You’ll be joining our Management Team at the Treatment Centre, reporting to the Head of Nursing and Clinical Services. We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Theatre Practitioner who can evidence excellent leadership skills. The successful candidate will be driven to maintain the Treatment Centre’s excellent reputation all the while honing their own clinical and professional development.

You will be professionally responsible for 3 Operating Theatres and approximately 12 direct reports. Surgical procedures covered at the Treatment Centre includes General Surgery, Colerectal, ENT, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic surgeries therefore a breadth of knowledge in a combination of these specialties will be expected.
