About the role

Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is formally known as Northland DHB.

Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is looking for Anaesthetic Technicians.

We have opportunities in Whangarei Hospital, Northland as well as in Kaitaia Hospital, Far North depending on your preferred base location.

Whatever base location you choose, you also have the option of working in other locations within Te Tai Tokerau(Northland) for a few days/weeks so that you can spend time to travel & explore the beautiful surroundings & beaches across the region.

The purpose of this position is to provide safe operational anaesthetic and ancillary equipment to anaesthetists in operating theatre. In this role you will provide direct clinical assistant to anaesthetists and intensivists maintaining a high standard of patient care.

You will be a part of an integrated operating theatre team with a commitment to ensuring efficient functioning of the operating theatre.

We have multiple permanent full-time opportunities however, we also welcome applicants who prefer to work part time.

Key Requirements

  • Certificate/Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent
  • Registered with the Medical Science Council of New Zealand
  • Current Practicing Certificate
  • Demonstrate an ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
