The position:

Based at Kaitaia Hospital this is a permanent full time 1.0 FTE position working 40 hours per week. We also welcome applicants who are interested in working part time.

The purpose of this position is to provide safe operational anaesthetic and ancillary equipment to anaesthetists in operating theatre. In this role you will provide direct clinical assistant to anaesthetists and intensivists maintaining a high standard of patient care.

You will be a part of an integrated operating theatre team with a commitment to ensuring efficient functioning of the operating theatre.

Requirements:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent
  • Registered with the Medical Science Council of New Zealand
  • Current Practicing Certificate
  • Demonstrate an ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
